Hand in My Pocket Transcript
Rhea: I have just found the past two, three weeks really odd.
Liz: Yeah.
Rhea: To be honest, I found the past five months really hard, and even though there are moments of relief and highs as they were, they feel like I've created them in my mind so that I can survive.
Liz: Well, welcome to 2020. Anything that we had really thought we could carry into this year or that we didn't even realize was still there came up and met us, but that's how so many of us are feeling. To one degree or another, we are all feeling that sense of powerlessness. That's the hand in my pocket.
Rhea: Why?
Liz: That's what the song is. It's like I just don't even know if I can control anything anymore. That's the rolling with the tide because what we're having to really accept right now is that we are not all in our power yet, because our power used to be sourced from our sense of control. I am empowered. I am in my power because I can control my actions and the outcome of my actions. And we're beginning to see that that sense of empowerment is not really what's going to get us through 2020 to 2024. It's really about “I can weather anything that happens”. Whatever happens will not destroy me. It may not necessarily make me stronger, but it's going to remind me that my power has nothing to do with this illusory control that I believed I had, but the fact that nothing can change the core of who I am. So we're really having to face and go inward to get that source of power, and it is really difficult because there's been nobody to model it for us and so we're a bit lost right now and it feels very chaotic.
Rhea: If you can tell me the best I could hope for is to be fine, I don't want to be fine.
Liz: Right.
Rhea: That is not the state I choose to be in.
Liz: The centre of chaos often begins from a neutral space. When there's so much upheaval around us, the truth is that what we want to be, whether you like the word fine or not, is to be as neutral as possible. It doesn't help if you're more than fine or less than fine. If you're less than fine, you feed the chaos. If you're more than fine, you're not actually experiencing what you need to be experiencing. Fine in this case does not have to be a negative. You and I both have negative associations with fine, but fine is actually a positive. It means that you are neither great nor bad. You are neutral. That is how one copes with chaos. Rolling with the tide means that you are still within that energy.
Rhea: So what is this energy?
Liz: It's the void. You want to cry and I want to scream and yell, punch something. Spiritual maturity is hard. It is not for the faint of heart. There's a reason why most people won't go down this road, or they don't sign up for it or they sign up for a portion of it. It really does happen. People really do hit those moments, especially when they're on this particular path because you just think, isn't that enough? Haven't I done enough? For every period where we do feel like we're suffering through for a day or for a week right now, there is also where we can make that joy, where we have the power to do it. Joy is not just something we allow. Joy is something that we create; something we create for ourselves because we give ourselves permission to experience it. And that is often experienced in places and spaces of freedom. So when we're really not experiencing it, when we can't even glimpse it, it means that we haven't freed ourselves from something. It's about allowing yourself the freedom to be able to experience it. What we're really working through has so much to do with where is our freedom? Where are we still chained to polarity, to separation? Where are we literally killing ourselves? Because the source of our power is our divinity: where everything is possible. So it does make people feel very powerless because they don't know where to find that power cause they're not looking within.
You know, we don't fully vanquish our fears until we've really seen them. I think we can have an awareness of our fears, but not really know what they are. I think we know what our fears are, but they're not really the ones we think they are. I think that sometimes we can experience a fear on an emotional level, but we haven't fully come into consciousness around it. So when we really talk about vanquishing our fears, it's a lot more work than people realize because it's not something you can just do, you know, in therapy and rationalize it and say, well, okay, I don't have to have that fear because I understand that it's my mind telling me, fill in the blank. When you accept that you want to live truly fearlessly, you are in this washing machine and you are in this cycle for a good period.
Now the beauty of 2020. It's a funny year because it does indicate that there's a year of struggle because we have to undergo transformation and what it does allow transformation is power and time. And again, the reason people struggle through their transformation is because they're looking outside of themselves for the power. They're looking to plug into other people to boost them. So relationship-wise, they either become really co-dependent or they're constantly looking to plug into anybody, right? So they're looking for vacuous hook-ups. But really what it is, it's just an energy sourcing that goes on. That's what it feels like to move from three-dimensional polarity separation into fifth dimensional oneness consciousness.
It does feel like we've lost something again that us scrambling for the past, has us scrambling to hold onto anything and it's not about surrendering to it either and it's not even about accepting it. It's just allowing the possibility of something that you cannot fathom. We cannot really fathom in our minds because we have not existed in that fifth dimensional oneness conscious space in this human time. Perhaps if you will allow me some other lifetime in some other space, because if we connect to our point of essence, we know that anything's possible. So we do know Oneness. Inherently, it is who we are, but we've never experienced it before so it's so scary. Like what is this going to cost me? What more do I have to give up? Do I have a future that awaits me, or is this just going to be it?
And that's the big question that's driving everyone to hold on. But everybody experiences that 3D separation so differently where for you it's so emotional and exhausting and someone else, it makes them angry. You know, they want to act out. But rapid growth expansion does not have to hurt. I mean cause that's actually what 3D growth was because in separation, since separation isn't natural for us, if we really wanted to grow and learn and process and burn through our karma, we had to get uncomfortable. We had to hurt. We couldn't do it from a whole space because you can't be completely whole in 3D because the nature of that is separation. So everything was always to get us to wake up, kind of felt bad. It was almost a highlight and emphasize this is shit because our internal selves were always in separation too.
Rhea: But how were people happy in separation?
Liz: They weren't happy. They were taught . . .
Rhea: But you were finding moments of happiness.
Liz: Yes, you're finding moments of happiness but not joy. It not to say people couldn't be happy in 3D, but a lot of that was really constructs of what happiness was. You'd be happy when you got married, be happy when you had kids, and so we've had to be woken up slowly. Otherwise we would just implode to the fact that 3D is a miserable experience and all those things we were told would make us happy, like a lot of money or a "fulfilling career". So what we're having to understand is that no, when we move from 3D to 5D, we're actually enabling a level of joy and a deeper meaning to our existence than we've ever known. Again, many of us just don't know what that's like.
When we talk about the rapid growth expansion that's coming, it will take about two weeks and it's going to be sort of upside down expansion. For anybody out there who understands chakras, there'll be sort of like a crown chakra to root chakra, or heaven to earth or divine to human. When something like this happens, we become infused with a sense that there's more to this world, there's more to our reality than we can actually see. It could be that some psychic gifts that we once had comes back. It might be that you start having a stronger knowing, much like when you were younger. It might be that we start to experience little pieces of magic in our lives. We might discover that we have the ability to bring something into our physical reality that we couldn't before, so it's not about wishes coming true. It's really about awakening a level of our divinity and that's where we really get to source our power.
Ultimately the theme of this podcast and the meaning of rolling with the tide and what allows us to maintain a neutral space within the chaos in 3D sort of releasing itself from our reality is this return to hope, right? Hope reflecting our deepest desires. We've been existing in a state of hopelessness for a while now where we've really been forced to question our reality. Also compelled to examine our expectations because we cannot usher in a new consciousness so long as there is the old paradigm of 3D polarity and separation. So right now we're really in a neutral zone as remnants of 3D are being thrown about. We're not necessarily in it, we're not above it. We're sort of within that energy, but we're not playing in it by choice. You decided I don't want to play this game. I don't want to be in separation with myself. I don't wanna have to keep telling myself that this is enough when it's not enough. I want my emotions to be whole. I want to feel whole in myself. And that was the final thing that was keeping you out of 5D. So ultimately allow this energy to carry you and take you where you need to go. Even if it's an uncomfortable space, you will not drown in it. If you fight it, it will feel like you're drowning. If you resist it, you will become exhausted and you will still feel like you're drowning. It will not help to resist this energy. Each and every one of us is on this planet at this time for this leap in consciousness so it doesn't help to fight it. All you can do is just allow that consciousness to come from within because that's where it really resides.
Rhea: So after April the 10th, things in general for everyone get easier.
Liz: Yes, it will never be like 2019 again and it will never be like this past January ever again. It's not to say however, that there won't be challenges, that people will be challenge-free. The goal is for people to have enough compassion, enough growth and enough consciousness that they have the confidence and the comfort to know that they can just roll with it, whatever comes. That they've built up enough stamina, that they have enough power that they can operate from within. And any case, this energy to come, the sweeping away of some of this old 3D stuff, it's just going to give us so much more room for self-expression and that's what's so exciting is that we can feel so much more in our bodies, in ourselves, in our minds, in our thoughts, but able to experience them without shame, without feeling like we have to hold back anymore.
Rhea: Is everyone going to feel like that?
Liz: Not everyone, but not because they have still more work to do. It just might be that they're just really chill. It's just enough for them. Whereas others who are hyper aware or really work toward expansive consciousness or expanded consciousness, if you will, there are going to really be in tune with that. The less we struggle, the more hope we can have, and the thing is that there's just going to always be these pockets of hope that we're sort of developing over this time. It's going to come more naturally in 5D where it's just our deepest desires being realized, that being conscious of hope as we move into this period out of 3D into 5D, or as we're straddling the two or as we're trying to coexist within these energies, nothing is ever permanent. If anything feels like a permanent state, it's because we are missing the point. We forget that when we have these breakdowns, when we feel so broken, when we are beyond the state of frustration, when we need love because we don't feel we have it for ourselves, what we must begin with always is compassion.
Everyone at some point is forced to come to a moment of reckoning. I will surrender to this and this is all I will ever know, or I will in my deepest desire in my heart, I will this to be different and that is where you go and you find that internal power and you say, this is not going to be how I live out the rest of my years.
Rhea: But how do you do that if you're scared?
Liz: Most people who have fear, they say they want change, but they cannot hold the space for change. Because when you always have fear, this is all I'm going to ever have, you're not at peace. Fear keeps us believing that nothing exists, the idea something is better than nothing, the idea that nothing was still a possibility, but that's never the case.
Rhea: So when you're not scared, you think something better is coming.
Liz: It's not even a better. It's that anything is possible.
